Deal: NRF has advised on the redevelopment of the City Tattersalls Club, which involved revitalising the club’s heritage-listed lower-level premises, including ground-floor retail, a bar, restaurants, and a ballroom, and the construction of a 50-storey tower featuring 241 high-end residential apartments, a 110-room hotel, a commercial fitness centre and event spaces, the firm said in a statement.
Area: Projects
Value: N/A
Key players: The NRF team was led by partner Emanuel Confos and included partners Steven Choi, Harriet Oldmeadow and Ray Giblett, senior associate Soorim Cha, and associates Josh Hayes, Jade Cai and Daniel Corban.
Deal significance: Mr Confos said: “We are pleased to have helped First Sponsor and ICD progress their plans to expand into the Sydney market.
“The City Tattersalls project required nuanced negotiations to ensure that our client could reach a successful position amidst ongoing difficulties in the broader construction industry with securing labour and materials for a fixed price.
“The development will form a prominent part of Sydney’s ever-changing skyline, but it is not without challenges, given the site’s location in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and preserving the integrity of the heritage-listed lower level premises.”
