Brooks Australia acquired by Ei Electronics

Australian fire and detection products distributor Brooks Australia has been advised on its acquisition by Irish company Ei Electronics.

Deal: Brooks Australia has been acquired by Ei Electronics, with Thomson Geer assisting with all aspects of the transaction, including vendor due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents and the completion process.

Area: Merger and acquisition

Value: Undisclosed

Key players: The Thomson Geer team was led by partner Jason Marcus, who was supported by senior associate Hansel Tsang.

Deal significance: Speaking about the acquisition, Mr Marcus said: “Brooks is a family business that was established in 1977. The sale is an important step for the Brooks family and the ongoing future of the company.”
