Emily Cossgrove (pictured) has joined Hamilton Locke as a workplace and employment partner, bringing her “significant experience” experience conducting workplace investigations into whistleblower complaints and allegations of misconduct and bullying.

She also advises on the employment aspects of commercial transactions, corporate restructures, and transfers of business, the firm said in a statement, as well as providing advice on complex employment matters under the Fair Work Act, preparing executive employment arrangements and representing clients to resolve industrial disputes.

Hamilton Locke expanded into Perth just over one year ago.

Speaking about her new role, Ms Cossgrove said: “I am excited to take the next step in my career by joining the partnership of Hamilton Locke and expanding the firm’s workplace and employment offering into Perth.

“With significant changes being made to Australia’s industrial landscape this year, I look forward to assisting clients to prepare for these reforms and to continue managing workplace issues.”

Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey added: “We are thrilled to welcome Emily to our newly launched and fast-growing Perth office.

“This appointment expands our offering to clients and builds on our existing capabilities with the addition of Emily as the first employment partner in Perth. Emily’s niche skill set and diverse experience is an asset to our clients, our employment team and the wider firm.”
