Hamilton Locke property partner, special counsel move to Perth office
BigLaw firm Hamilton Locke has relocated one of its property partners and a special counsel to its growing Perth office, which launched one year ago with four foundational partners, all of whom came over from HWL Ebsworth.
Margot King (pictured) — who is originally from Perth — has relocated back home and is being joined by special Kaday Conteh, who recently joined Hamilton Locke from King & Wood Mallesons.
The relocation will, the firm said in a statement, “further bolster the capabilities and expertise of our Perth office”.
Ms King, the firm went on, is experienced in advising on complex property issues in energy, infrastructure and development projects and has strong experience in mixed-use urban regeneration projects.
Speaking about her move, Ms King said: “Since I joined Hamilton Locke in May 2022, the Perth office has grown exponentially in terms of headcount and capability.
“I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues and reconnecting with friends, former clients and colleagues in Perth. I am excited to start up Hamilton Locke’s property capability in Western Australia.
“There is a lot of potential in the renewables sector in WA, particularly in hydrogen projects, and I look forward to being part of the economic transition as we head to net zero by 2050.”
