Minters adds partner from Ashurst

National law firm MinterEllison has appointed a new partner for its infrastructure, construction and projects team, who comes over from BigLaw rival Ashurst.

Meredith Riley (pictured) has joined Minters, bringing with her experience of working on some of the largest road and rail projects in Australia as well as other significant complex Australian infrastructure projects, the firm said in a statement.

She advises on all project phases, including providing initial strategic advice, developing procurement structures, drafting and negotiating major project documents and advising on contract administration issues.

Ms Riley is joining Minters’ Sydney office.

Speaking about the firm’s newest partner, Minters managing partner of infrastructure, construction and property Peter Wood said: “Meredith’s client focus, deep experience, energy and technical excellence complement the skills of our tier-one ranked national infrastructure, construction and projects team.”

Ms Riley added: “I am so pleased to join MinterEllison.

“There are many exciting opportunities in the infrastructure sector, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues to assist clients navigate the complexities inherent in large infrastructure projects.”
