Dentons adds patents partner
Global law firm Dentons has moved to bolster its Australasian patents team by appointing a new partner and patent attorney.
Allira Hudson-Gofers has joined Dentons and will “add further strength and expertise to Dentons’ Australasian patents team”, the firm said in a statement.
“Having worked in-house in research and as a regulatory affairs specialist for a global leader in medical devices, Allira has a deep understanding of the commercial realities of her clients’ businesses. She advises clients on patentability, strategy development, invalidity, infringement and freedom to operate matters.”
Speaking about the appointment, Dentons’ Australasia region chair and Australian chief executive, Doug Stipanicev, said that the addition of Ms Hudson-Gofers is “exciting” for the firm.
“We are delighted to welcome Allira as a new patent partner at Dentons. Allira’s extensive experience, coupled with her deep commercial insights are a valuable addition to the team,” he said.
Dentons patent team lead Dr Andrew Baker added: “Dentons’ patents team is a leader in Australasia. We are very excited about Allira joining us. She is a leader in her field and a force to be reckoned with.”
Ms Hudson-Gofers noted: “I am delighted to be joining Dentons’ highly regarded patents team and can’t wait to further develop their offering in Australasia. I’m also looking forward to connecting my clients to the talent and opportunities that being part of the world’s largest law firm brings.”
