Keypoint adds Holman Webb partner as new consulting principal
Emerging BigLaw player Keypoint Law has named a new consulting principal, specialising in insurance litigation, for its Melbourne office.
Colin Hall has joined Keypoint, having come over from BigLaw rival Holman Webb, where he was a partner leading the firm’s Melbourne insurance practice.
Mr Hall brings a “wealth of insurance law expertise” to Keypoint, the firm said in a statement, further strengthening its national insurance practice.
Keypoint chief executive Warren Kalinko said: “Colin’s expertise will be of immense value to our firm and clients. His appointment further strengthens our firm’s national insurance law team and expands Keypoint’s expertise in this sector.
“This is a very exciting announcement for our firm and our insurance clients. We are all really look[ing] forward to welcoming Colin to our Melbourne team.”
Mr Hall said: “I am extremely pleased to be joining Keypoint Law.
“The firm’s innovative model and approach to the practice of law presents an especially exciting opportunity, and I am looking forward to working with my fellow consulting principals.”
Mr Hall advises on policy terms and conditions, indemnity and exclusions, and advising and defending fraudulent claims involving arson or staged events, as well as on WorkSafe and Occupational Health and Safety Act prosecutions involving fatalities, bushfires and general property fire claims, as well as aviation claims.
