Link divests PEXA stake

Link Administration Holdings Limited (Link Group) has been advised on the divestment of its 42.8 per cent stake in PEXA Group Limited (PEXA).

Firm: Herbert Smith Freehills (Link Group)

Deal: Link has divested its 42.8 per cent stake in PEXA Group Limited, including by selldown and in-specie distribution.

Area: Corporate; merger and acquisition

Value: $860 million

Key players: The HSF team was led by partners Tony Damian and Nicole Pedler, who were supported by senior associate Jennifer Xue, and solicitors Jacob Lancaster and Nick Venn.

Deal significance: Mr Damian said: “We are proud to be advising Link Group on this transaction, which will provide Link Group shareholders with direct exposure to PEXA and its potential future growth.”

Ms Pedler added: “The distribution is an important milestone that unlocks flexibility for Link Group shareholders, and we are glad to have been able to support the Link Group team throughout the transaction.”
