HWL Ebsworth promotes 80
BigLaw firm HWL Ebsworth has promoted 80 staff across the country, including six to the partnership.
Six partners, 13 special counsel, 14 senior associates, and 47 associates have been promoted across the HWL Ebsworth offices in nine locations — Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Hobart, Norwest (North West Sydney), Perth, and Sydney.
The newest partners at the firm are Jacomb Bell, Natasha Breach, Philip Brown, Lewis Cohen, Dhanushka Jayawardena and Kristina Mihalic — and bolster the firm’s insurance, construction, infrastructure, planning, environment, local government, corporate and commercial practices.
Commenting on the mammoth promotions round, HWL Ebsworth managing partner Juan Martinez said the firm would continue to develop staff moving forward.
“I am thrilled to be in a position to announce such a significant number of internal promotions,” he said.
“These team members have shown that they are prepared for this next exciting stage of their careers, and I am looking forward to seeing each of them continue to develop as leaders within our firm.”
