Bridget Wall (pictured) has been promoted to partner at Hall & Wilcox, effective as of the start of this year.

She is, the firm said in a statement, “an experienced insurance litigator”, specialising in financial lines and professional indemnity products.

She is based in the firm’s Brisbane office.

Ms Wall’s area of expertise, the firm continued, “has been the defence of professional negligence claims against solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers, financial planners, construction professionals and allied health professionals”.

Speaking about the promotion, Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean congratulated Ms Wall on her appointment.

“Bridget has strong client relationships and will play a key role in the expansion of our professional indemnity insurance practice both nationally and in Queensland,” he said.

“She is technically excellent and actively lives our firm values.”

The news follows the appointment of the firm’s first female chair, Emma Woolley, who recently spoke to Lawyers Weekly about the need for BigLaw firms to have progressive policies
