Barry.Nilsson. appoints new principal
National law firm Barry.Nilsson. Lawyers has appointed a new principal who will join its insurance and health law practice.
Sasha Jeffrey-Bailey has returned to Barry.Nilsson. (BN) as principal following four years spent in-house.
“Sasha is an outstanding lawyer who brings extensive experience in both private practice and in-house roles, so we are thrilled to welcome her back to our growing team,” insurance and health law principal lead Peter Ewin said.
“Since Sasha was first with us in 2015, our dedicated national abuse practice — and our Melbourne office as a whole — have grown significantly, so her experience working across both state and national jurisdictions will be invaluable.
“The quality of our insurance lawyers demonstrates BN’s commitment to providing our clients with the highest level of technical ability and client service.”
Ms Jeffrey-Bailey said she was excited to return to the firm to lead the Victorian abuse team.
“I always knew that if I were to return to private practice, it would be to BN — I’m really looking forward to working with Peter and the BN team again,” Ms Jeffrey-Bailey said.
“When first working at BN as an associate and senior associate, I predominately serviced BN’s clients in the injury and abuse space. It’s exciting to be returning to this role, particularly given the significant legal developments that have occurred in recent years and the growth the BN team has experienced.
“While I’m certainly looking forward to undertaking technical legal work again, I am also very much looking forward to working with our younger lawyers and supporting their growth and development.”
This latest appointment at Barry.Nilsson. follows the firm’s New Year promotions round, which saw the elevation of 18 staff.
