National plaintiff firm Shine Lawyers has elevated 49 professionals to more senior roles — more than three-quarters of whom are women.
In a “record” promotions round for the firm, Shine Lawyers has promoted 49 professionals, including 14 to special counsel, 12 to senior associate and 23 to associate.
The news follows the plaintiff firm’s introduction of a nine-day fortnight in August, and its report of a 22 per cent net profit increase in the same month.
Speaking about the promotions round, Shine chief legal officer Lisa Flynn said that the changes reflect the breadth and depth of talent within the plaintiff law firm.
“Our people are our greatest asset, so it comes as no surprise that so many of our solicitors were ready to take the next step in their respective careers,” she said.
“We were able to promote from within because we believe in nurturing our staff, so they continue to grow and reach new heights.
“The fact there has been a record number of promotions is proof Shine Lawyers is full of opportunities, and I can’t wait to see what this next generation of leaders can accomplish.”
The firm’s new special counsel are Charmaine Bastin, Jonathan Wertheim, Hadi Boustani, Dawn Williams, Kate Do, Caitlin Wilson, Susan Gandini, Mobeena Hills, Cara Jones, Ashleigh Kemp, Deniz Mirik, Trish Murphy, Amy Olver and Rebecca O’Toole.
The new senior associates are Sarah Brady, Paris Hamrey, Kathryn Leehy, Marguerita McIntosh, Carla Melbourne, Jessica Preston, Max Russ, Brielle Straney, Katrina Stouppos, Justin Turner, Andrew Whealey and Tamara Wright.
And the newest associates at Shine are Krishna Alister, Hayley Poppleton, Lily Bussell-Poole, Kelly Stephenson, Leanne Foo, Rachelle Sukkar, Tyron Foster, Harry Tilse, Claire Fowler, Bonnie Whyte, Jackson Gilbert, Sarah Williams, Kate Gough, Lauren Wilmott, Selina Hansen, Sophie Hegarty, Chloe Heterick, Alicia Howitt, Melissa Letizia, Alyssa Lewis, Jeremy Morriss, Justin Penafiel and Michael Plibersek.
