Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Egis on its acquisition of Calibre Professional Services.

Key players: The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by corporate M&A partner Ben Smits.
Mr Smits was supported by a multi-practice team, which included partners Kevin Arkwright (construction), Georgina Hey (intellectual property), Vittorio Casamento (finance), and Ray Giblett (insurance).
Senior associates Charlie Watson and Bill Lo of the firm’s corporate practice also supported.
Deal significance: Egis is a global consulting, construction, engineering and operating company, while Calibre Professional Services is a sustainable engineering and consulting services business.
“The deal gives Egis an established company focused on urban development, water and roads, and building services and structures across Australia and New Zealand. The acquisition builds on Egis’ global engineering capabilities and bolsters its end-to-end service offering to create sustainable cities in Australia and New Zealand,” a statement from Norton Rose Fulbright.
“Calibre Professional Services has a team of over 400 people, and its focus on sustainability will assist Egis to expand its sustainable development offering to mitigate the impact of climate change and help to build strong and resilient communities.”
