Asmodee acquires VR platform
Global law firm DLA Piper has advised Asmodee on its acquisition of a one-stop shop of virtual reality gaming products.

Key players: The DLA Piper team was led by Melbourne-based partner Jyoti Singh and UK-based partner Chris Arnold.
The pair were supported by senior associates Simon Rimmelzwaan and Jonathan Pham, solicitor Kimberley Chee and associate Yemo Guo.
Deal significance: Asmodee is a leading French publisher of board games, card games and role-playing games.
Meanwhile, VR Distribution and VR UK provides retailers with a one-stop shop for all the key products in the gaming category.
“As a leading board game distributor in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom (UK), VR Distribution provides a strategic foothold into these desirable markets for Asmodee,” said DLA Piper co-lead partner Jyoti Singh.
“The transaction demonstrates our expertise in multi-jurisdictional deal-making in the consumer goods sector,” he added.
