This year’s list analysed more than 121 million citations across more than 15.5 million scholarly publications and included survey responses from 40,000 academics from around the world. In total, THE gathered approximately 680,000 data points from over 2,500 institutions that provided data.

Further findings show that 526 universities are listed as “reporters”, which means they shared information but did not meet THE criteria to be ranked; however, they agreed to be listed as reporters in the final results.
Australia has the third-highest number of international students in the world, trailing behind the United Kingdom and the United States. This is quite an accomplishment for a nation with only 24 million people.
