Underwriters advised on Atlas Arteria’s $3.1bn entitlement offer

BigLaw firm Gilbert and Tobin has advised RBC Capital Markets and UBS Securities Australia Limited as underwriters of Atlas Arteria’s $3.1 billion capital raise to acquire a majority interest in the Chicago Skyway.

Firm: Gilbert + Tobin (RBC Capital Markets and UBS Securities Australia Limited).

Deal: RBC Capital Markets and UBS Securities Limited were advised by G+T as the joint lead managers, bookrunners and underwriters of toll-road operator Atlas Arteria’s (ASX: ALX) “landmark” $3.1 billion entitlement offer to purchase a majority interest in Skyway Concession Company.

Value: $3.1 billion

Key players: The G+T team was led by partner Peter Cook with support from Lucy Hall (special counsel) and Alexandra Berry (lawyer).

Deal significance: Mr Cook said: “We are delighted to have advised RBC Capital Markets and UBS on such a significant and complex transaction.”

Ms Hall added: “It was a pleasure to act for the underwriters on this milestone capital raising; we are privileged to be able to assist our longstanding clients RBC Capital Markets and UBS on this important deal.”
