Baker McKenzie appoints financial services and funds partner
Global firm Baker McKenzie has appointed Trudi Procter to partner in the financial services and funds team of the firm’s transactional practice group in Brisbane.
Ms Procter was previously a partner at McCullough Robertson and has experience advising on all facets of financial services regulation and compliance.
Ms Procter has a particular interest in payment systems, and she has acted for fund managers, financial planners and other Australian financial services licensees on a range of commercial transactions, including the acquisition and disposal of scheme assets.
She has previously held roles at the Bank of Queensland and with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in London.
Baker McKenzie’s national managing partner Anthony Foley noted his excitement in adding Ms Procter to their financial services and funds team.

“We are excited to expand our successful financial services and funds team with the addition of Trudi as a new partner in our growing Brisbane office,” said Mr Foley.

As of 1 July, Baker McKenzie expanded its Australian funds and financial services offering with the promotion of Alan Darwin to the partnership, along with the promotion of Liam Hickey as a partner in the Australian financial sponsors transactional team.
