Mirvac advised on replacement of trustee

Global firm Ashurst has advised Mirvac Limited (Mirvac) in relation to the proposed replacement of AMP Capital Investors Limited (AMPCI) as trustee of AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund (AWOF).

Deal significance: Ashurst advised Mirvac on formulating a strategy for the unsolicited proposal to the existing trustee, liaising directly with investors to convene a meeting of members to vote directly on the proposed replacement. 

Ashurst also advised on the negotiation of transaction documents with counsel for the investors and AMPCI.

Mr Harris commented: “We are delighted to have assisted Mirvac achieve the support of the AWOF investors and the proposal to acquire the management rights to such a high-quality portfolio of office assets.”
