Thomson Geer elevates 31
National law firm Thomson Geer has promoted 31 staff, including six to the partnership.
Thomson Geer has elevated 31 staff – including six partners and five special counsel – in a move to boost all of the firm’s practice areas across its Australian offices.
In addition, Christopher Chin, Lisa Marcus, Pip Nagam, Scott Newlan and Chloe Robinson have been appointed to special counsel roles.
The new senior associates are Shani Claassen, Thomas Gardner, Matthew Harders, Reahna Hauser, Ximena Ilich, Helen May, Liam McIllhatton, Thomas O’Grady, Mikayla Thompson, Hansel Tsang and Zoe Wu, with Jade Andrews, Liam Cobain, Faisal Islam, Sharon Kwok, Holly Marchant, Geoffrey Milani, Rebecca Moawad, Liska Shiu and Angela Watson all being promoted to associate.
Chief executive partner Adrian Tembel said that the latest promotions round showed promise for the firm’s future.
“We’re pleased to be recognising the outstanding ability and quality of our people with our latest promotions,” he said.
“They are all thoroughly deserving of their new positions and represent Thomson Geer’s strength and our confidence in the future.”
This news follows a number of BigLaw promotional rounds, including 20 new appointments at Barry.Nilsson., a “record” number of promotions at global law firm Dentons, 46 new appointments with four partner appointments at Holding Redlich, the promotion of 46 at Hall & Wilcox, the elevation of 48 staff at Mills Oakley, the promotion of 21 at Piper Alderman and the addition of 13 new partners at King & Wood Mallesons.
