Colin Biggers & Paisley, Hamilton Locke complete 2022 promotions rounds
Following a number of other promotions rounds for 2022, two more national law firms have promoted a surge of staff.

Two more BigLaw firms have completed their promotion rounds for 2022, with new appointments effective from 1 July.
Philip Atkin and Katherine Jones will be promoted to partner; Julia Hewitt, Suzie Hutchings, Karen Lo and Katherine Pickerd to special counsel; and Olivia Boyages, Anthony Landro, Marco Pedretti, Douglas Prime, and Jessica Tjong to senior associate.
Managing partner Nick Crennan said that the new appointments were a reflection of the hard work of those at the firm.
“I am proud of the incredibly strong cohort we are seeing coming through in this round of promotions, all of whom are deserving and underpin our mission to contribute to our clients and our communities,” he said.
“Our people have every opportunity for both career progression and personal growth, and everyone has the opportunity and support to grow and establish quality careers with us — today is testament to that.”
In addition, Hamilton Locke has promoted six staff across the firm, including two special counsel.
Ben Cameron and James Tannock are the firm’s newest special counsel, and Claudia Bertone, Daniel Owen, David O’Carroll and Stephen Vrettos have all been promoted to senior associate.
Furthermore, The Fold Legal, an allied business of Hamilton Locke, has also announced two promotions.
Special counsel Michele Levine has been promoted to partner, and associate Julie Hartley will move into a senior associate.

This news follows a number of BigLaw promotional rounds, including 46 new appointments, including four partners, at Holding Redlich, the promotion of 46 at Hall & Wilcox, the elevation of 48 staff at Mills Oakley, the promotion of 21 at Piper Alderman and the addition of 13 new partners at King & Wood Mallesons.
