G+T cements ‘record’ number of appointments
National law firm Gilbert + Tobin has made its largest round of appointments to kick off the new financial year.

Effective 1 July 2022, Gilbert + Tobin will see 14 new partners and 10 special counsel. Twenty-one of the new appointees are based in Sydney, while two are based and Melbourne and one in Perth.
The new partners have been listed as: Nicholas Lazarou (banking and projects); Jeremy Jose (competition and regulation); Andrew Low (competition and regulation); Tanya Macdonald (competition and regulation); Liana Witt (competition and regulation); Elizabeth (Beth) Cameron (corporate advisory); Judy Hsu (corporate advisory); Chris Morse (corporate advisory); Tom Brett (disputes and investigations – employment); Peter Munro (disputes and investigations); Aparna Nanayakkara (disputes and investigations); Rebecca Spigelman (disputes and investigations); Patrick Tydde (disputes and investigations); and Anna Smyth (intellectual property).
Meanwhile, the new special counsel have been listed as: Teodor Lomaca (banking and projects); Haidee Leung (competition and regulation); Sarah Lynch (competition and regulation); Sam Jaffray (corporate advisory); Elizabeth Hilliard (disputes and investigations); Alexandra Whitby (disputes and investigations); Vanessa Farago-Diener (intellectual property); Rebecca Smith (intellectual property); Jen Bradley (technology and digital); and, Luke Standen (technology and digital).
The appointments come after a strong 12 months at Gilbert + Tobin, according to managing partner Danny Gilbert.

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.
