Christine Gheysen (pictured) has been appointed as CCO at Meridian, which has more than 140 staff with 22 principals across its Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth offices.

She brings more than 18 years of experience in senior operational roles and almost 10 years of experience working in the legal industry for global and domestic firms.

Prior to joining Meridian, Ms Gheysen served as the CFO at McCabes, head of finance at Partners in Performance, group financial controller for King & Wood Mallesons, and financial controller and head of finance at Clifford Chance.

She joins the firm, it said in a statement, at a “pivotal time” in its growth strategy.

Speaking about the appointment, Meridian managing director Paul Baker said that Ms Gheysen would be a “great asset” to the firm.

“With her track record as a seasoned business executive and her strong strategic management skills, I have no doubt that she will play a fundamental role in helping to drive our business forward,” he said.

“We are excited to welcome her aboard.”
