Clifford Chance promotes Sydney lawyer to partner
Global law firm Clifford Chance has unveiled a 37-strong cohort of new partners around the world – its largest promotions round since 2017 – including one litigation and dispute resolution professional.
Naomi Griffin, who works in the firm’s Sydney office in L&DR, has been added to the Clifford Chance partnership.
She is one of 37 new partners at the firm, which is the firm’s largest promotions round since 2017.
There are five new partners in the Asia-Pacific region, four in the Americas, 10 in Continental Europe, one in the Middle East, and 17 in the United Kingdom.
Speaking about the new partners, Clifford Chance global managing partner Matthew Layton said: “These promotions are a key milestone in careers that have been defined by talent, commitment and entrepreneurialism.
“Everyone joining the partnership has become a ‘go-to’ adviser for many of the world’s most influential organisations on their strategically critical opportunities and challenges. As well as congratulating them on their success to date, I hope the rest of their careers can be as rich and rewarding as mine has been at the firm.”
Global senior partner Jeroen Ouwehand added: “As well as being the largest new round of partners since 2007, this is our most diverse ever. Together, they embody our uncompromising pursuit of excellence, and our ambitious goals to build a law firm where everyone can see they have a fair chance to reach the top of the profession.”
The promotions took effect as of 1 May 2022.
