Key players: Herbert Smith Freehills head of venture capital Peter Dunne, partner Aaron White, solicitor Katherine Duong, and Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills partner Toby Eggleston.

Deal significance: Zepto, a payment solutions provider for merchants, will use the $25 million capital injection to grow and expand the business.

Zepto chief executive Chris Jewell commented: “We are extremely grateful for Herbert Smith Freehills’ advice on this, our first external funding round. Herbert Smith Freehills will remain a key advisory partner as we grow and scale Zepto”.
