Orica sells Minova for $180m
Orica has sold its Minova business to Europe-based investment firm Aurelius Group with assistance from Gilbert + Tobin.

Key players: The team was led by partner Ben Macdonald, with lawyers Keara Stretton and Eugene Teo supporting. Other lawyers included Gina Cass-Gottlieb, Andrew Low, Amanda Hempel, Tim Dobson, Michael Caplan, Matt Hargreaves, Ben Fuller, John Lee and Lisa Lennon.
Deal significance: The Minova business provides ground support and geotechnical solutions for mining, tunnelling and surface ground engineering projects. Minova has operations in more than 25 countries.
Mr Macdonald commented: “We are delighted to have worked together with Orica on the successful sale of the Minova business. This important transaction enables Orica to focus on its four business verticals of growth – mining; quarry and construction; digital; and mining chemicals.”
