Deal: With assistance from Hall & Wilcox, globally operating manufacturer of high-quality concrete pumps and more Putzmeister has acquired 100 per cent of the share capital of Australia-based CPE Machinery.

Value: N/A

Area: M&A

Other team members included partners Frank Hinoporos, Jim Koutsokostas, Emily Kyriacou, Philip Hopley, Eugene Chen, special counsel Melinda Bell and Conrad Smith, and senior associates Joshua Haddad and Natalie Pecenicic.

Deal significance: Through the combination of the two businesses, Putzmeister will be able to better service the Australian market and use the acquired business to grow its adjacent sectors.

Mr Jankowsky commented: “I am delighted to have been able to assist another foreign based acquirer of Australian assets. The deal was significant as it was the first deal since COVID travel restrictions were imposed in 2020 where a foreign client was able to travel to Australia and engage in person-to-person negotiations.”
