K&L Gates makes 22 senior lawyer promotions
In addition to the appointment of a partner, global firm K&L Gates has elevated 21 of its lawyers into the roles of special counsel and senior associate.
Commenting on the latest round of promotions, managing partner (Australia) Nick Nichola said that as the firm emerges from the almost two years of pandemic-affected working, K&L Gates will “continue to reenergise our firm to emerge stronger and more nimble to benefit our clients and underwrite our firm’s future”.
Alongside Mr Jayemanne – who joins 36 partners from across nine of the firm’s practice areas to be promoted in 2022 – K&L Gates has promoted seven special counsel and 15 senior associates. Mr Nichola congratulated each of the senior lawyers and said that the firm is “proud” to celebrate the achievement with them.
“Promotion announcements are always very exciting for me as it serves to remind me yet again of the quality of our people, which gives me great comfort that the future of our firm is in safe hands,” Mr Nichola commented.
“Not only do each possess the legal skills to deliver our clients the highest quality legal advice and the strong service ethic to work innovatively and collaboratively with our clients, but each has also demonstrated the essential leadership skills to develop as potential future leaders of the firm.”
