Sallie Bowtell has joined the firm’s real estate practice and has previously specialised in major property projects, acting for institutional developers, foreign investors and developers, and listed and unlisted property trusts.

Ms Bowtell brings extensive global experience to DLA Piper, having spent a decade in Dubai and Bahrain, where she conducted complex regional work throughout the Gulf, the Middle East, and North Africa – something which Amber Matthews, Australian managing partner, said would be particularly beneficial for the firm’s clients.

“We are delighted to have someone of Sallie’s calibre join our real estate practice. She will be a great asset to our Australian and international clients,” she said.

Ms Bowtell officially joined DLA Piper on 24 January 2022.

“I’m delighted to be joining DLA Piper which has such an impressive client offering and conducts complex multi-jurisdictional work. The Australian property sector is particularly buoyant at present, with a great deal of opportunity ahead,” she said.
