Nicholas Hanna (pictured), who joined Pinsent Masons from K&L Gates in July of last year, will head up the firm’s corporate group and will be a member of its transaction services’ global leadership team.

The appointment follows a “period of growth and expansion” for the firm’s corporate team in the Asia-Pacific region, Pinsent Masons said in a statement, with the team advising on numerous IPOs, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as early-stage fund raises, involving companies operating in various sectors, such as infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, infotech, fintech, medtech, education and financial services.

Mr Hanna’s practice focuses on equity capital markets, private equity, joint ventures, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions.

Speaking about the appointment, Pinsent Masons head of transaction services Hammad Akhtar said: “Since joining the firm, Nicholas has helped drive forward our business in the region, working closely and collaboratively with other colleagues to ensure that we continue to provide our valued clients with the high quality of advice and service that they have become accustom.

“Nicholas is a great addition to my transaction services leadership team and brings with him a wealth of skills and knowledge. I very much look forward to working closely with Nicholas.”
