Lark Distilling acquires Pontville Distillery and Estate
Leading distiller of single malt whisky Lark Distilling has been assisted with its acquisition of Pontville Distillery and Estate by Gadens.

Firm: Gadens (Lark Distilling)
Value: The total consideration of the acquisition is $40 million, with the associated capital raising totalling $53 million.

Key players: The team was led by partner Jeremy Smith, with support from senior associate Steven Wambeek and associate Michael Castricum.
Deal significance: This acquisition raises the number of distilleries owned by Lark to three and supports its vision of becoming an icon in single malt whiskey.
Gadens was engaged by Lark to advise on all legal aspects of the transaction, including the institutional placement. Barrenjoey Capital Partners acted as lead manager to the placement, and Pitcher Partners acted as financial and tax advisors.
