Whiteoak acquires leading SaaS company

Australian law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has advised Whiteoak on the acquisition of leading SaaS company Amplify-Now.

Key players: Corrs Chambers Westgarth private equity partner Glen Sauer led the team advising Whiteoak and was supported by the firm's private equity, intellectual property, information technology and employment teams.

Deal significance: As per a Corrs' statement, Amplify-Now is an Adelaide-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, providing strategy execution management solutions to enterprise clients globally. The group has offices in Australia and the United States, and a blue-chip client base including Pfizer, HP, PwC, and AGL Energy.

Meanwhile, Whiteoak is an independent investment firm with a distinctive approach to investing in private companies, specialising in backing talented founders who require $10 million to $25 million to scale up sustainably, the firm explained.

Commenting on the matter, lead private equity partner Glen Sauer said: “It was great to work with Whiteoak on the acquisition of leading SaaS company Amplify-Now, the second investment out of their Whiteoak Growth Fund I".

"Tapping into the expertise from across Corrs helped us to close the transaction efficiently. We look forward to working with Whiteoak on the continued growth of Amplify-Now.”
