DWF recruits 2 senior hires
DWF has appointed two senior lawyers as it looks to build out its Australian insurance practice.
The global law firm has welcomed Anthony Forrester and Marissa Coward as special counsel within its Brisbane-based insurance team.
Ms Coward, who joins from Holman Webb, brings 13 years’ experience to her new role at DWF. Throughout her career, Ms Coward has gained considerable experience in the defence of dust disease and personal injury claims, and developed expertise in a broad array of other respiratory illness claims conducted across a number of jurisdictions.
Damien van Brunschot, DWF’s regional managing partner – Australasia and head of insurance in Australia, welcomed both Ms Coward and Mr Forrester to the firm.
“On behalf of the business, I’d like to warmly welcome Anthony and Marissa to DWF,” he said.
“I’m thrilled to have them join the insurance team where their skills, unique knowledge and insights will be an excellent addition to our highly-skilled team of insurance experts. In particular, we welcome the leadership and insights that these senior lawyers will bring to our clients and to our team.
“DWF’s ability to attract senior practitioners of the calibre of Anthony and Marissa is testament to the strength of our growing brand in the Australian market and our collaborative and inclusive culture.
“Our ability to consistently provide excellent client service always aimed at achieving favourable outcomes is what allows us to continue to attract clients and top talent.”
