Omni Bridgeway names new head of investor relations
Listed litigation funder Omni Bridgeway has appointed a new Sydney-based head of investor relations.
Mel Buffier (pictured), whom the litigation funder described as being a “highly regarded senior investor relations professional with more than 20 years of finance and capital markets experience”, will serve as Omni Bridgeway’s new head of investor relations.
She will be responsible for managing strategic communications and engagement with Omni Bridgeway’s global investors that includes the group’s shareholders and its fund investors.
Speaking about the appointment, Omni Bridgeway chief executive and managing director Andrew Saker said: “In recognition of the sector’s growth, the status of our diversified global investment portfolio and the transition of our business strategy from balance sheet funder to fund manager, we are increasingly focused on our engagement with investors, governance and market disclosure.
“Mel’s appointment reflects the changing nature of our business and recognition of the strategic importance of our interactions with our investors. She brings significant experience in capital markets, governance, corporate reporting and investor engagement to the role which will enhance our ability to engage with our key stakeholders.
