Gilchrist Connell promotes lawyers across Australia
Gilchrist Connell has announced a number of promotions across multiple offices across the country, including five new principals.

The national firm has announced that four lawyers have been elevated to the positions of special counsel, senior associate and associate. Those promoted include: Sarah Tehan (Melbourne) to special counsel, Katrina Fitzgerald (Adelaide) to senior associate and James Spartalis (Adelaide) and David Thomas (Melbourne) to associate.
“It’s always exciting to reward excellence in achievement and performance, particularly at such a dynamic time for the firm,” he said.
“These elevations recognise individuals who significantly demonstrate the energy and commitment to client service that has seen the firm achieve rapid expansion, reflecting the fantastic support of our established and new clients as they respond to challenges in the market, claims and risk landscapes.”
Five new principals have also started at the Gilchrist Connell Sydney and Adelaide offices, all of whom have already started settling into their new positions. Daniela Faggionato, Nitesh Patel and Hannah Griffiths are the newest principals in the Sydney office, and Samantha Hocking and Jamie Ling have been promoted within the firm’s Adelaide office.
“Our new promotions are key to building on growth momentum,” Mr Wood added.
“We’re looking forward to these outstanding individuals, as well as our large group of talented new starters across the firm, taking up their new roles and realising further opportunities to deliver the services our clients require.”
