ClarkeKann promotes new partner
An Australian commercial law firm has bolstered its ranks with the internal promotion of a new partner.
Formerly ClarkeKann’s special counsel, Elouise Monck has only been at the firm for one year but has significant experience at top-tier firms both in Australia and the US, as a member of the New York Bar.
“As a team, we have unrivalled knowledge and understanding of our clients’ financial opportunities and challenges,” Ms Monck said of her new partner position.
“Demand for our financial services and banking expertise has never been greater and it is a significant area of growth for ClarkeKann. I am particularly looking forward to contributing to our clients’ success as we excel and expand in this sector.”
Ms Monck added that the firm’s flexible working arrangements and inclusive, family-friendly culture were key elements in her promotional pathway.
“It is an absolute credit to ClarkeKann that lawyers like myself who work flexibly due to family arrangements are not simply accommodated, but are fully supported and promoted within a collaborative, team environment,” she said.
In her new role, Ms Monck will join ClarkeKann partner Miles Anderson in leading the financial services team that supports and advises clients through all types of banking and finance transactions, financial services regulation and funds management.
Mr Anderson said: “We have exceptional career opportunities at ClarkeKann and are proud to attract and retain some of the best talent in the legal business.
“Elouise is a ‘top shelf’ financial services lawyer. She brings a wealth of experience and financial strategy skills to the partnership, ensuring our clients achieve the best legal and financial outcomes for commercial growth.”
