Russell Kennedy adds 5 new principals
National law firm Russell Kennedy has bolstered its Sydney and Melbourne offices with five additional principals and the promotion of 19 other staff.
Continuing to expand, Australian law firm Russell Kennedy has announced the addition of five principals in Sydney and Melbourne, bringing the firm’s total to 50 across the country.
Managing director Paul Gleeson said that Russell Kennedy remains committed to growing its capacity and capability in a commercial law environment and that he was excited to welcome the new appointments.
“In this challenging market it is particularly satisfying to see our talented people continue to develop and progress their careers, contributing to the further growth and success of the Firm,” he said.
Mr Gleeson went on to add: “It is pleasing to see that our focus on growth, and commitment to our key sectors of expertise has held the firm in good stead.”
Russell Kennedy’s newest principals are Amanda Doring, who joins the family law team in Sydney, Clare Hesbrook, who joins the wills and estates team in Sydney, Goran Gelic, who joins the Sydney office as an infrastructure and energy expert, Chantal Reigo, who joins the Melbourne office and practises principally in the areas of commercial litigation and insolvency and Samantha Taylor, who has been promoted from special counsel.
The firm’s newest special counsel are Daniella Li-Rosi, Arti Chetty, Malvina Hagedorn and Rob Parrish.
The lawyers promoted to senior associates are Scott Royston, Emma Clark, Michael Bragg, Ellen O'Neil, Erin Rooney, Gareth Kerr, Danielle Nicholson, Joe Denina, Rana Awada, Shaun Burmester and Killian Donohoe.
The firm’s new associates are Rebecca Olle, Emily Kidd, Katie Mulligan and Erin Meeking.
The news follows HSF’s elevation of 55 staff, Maddocks promoting 47, Wotton + Kearney elevating 34 lawyers as part of their biggest senior promotions round in history, national firm Holding Redlich elevating 45 lawyers across the country, global firms KWM and Allens promoting 63 staff and 24 staff respectively, McCullough Robertson elevating 16 to new positions, Moray & Agnew promoting 25 to new roles, Hall & Wilcox promoting 36 to senior roles, Dentons promoting 14 to new positions, and King & Wood Mallesons adding 10 to the partnership ranks.
