Sonic Healthcare purchases Canberra Imaging Group

National law firm Gilbert + Tobin has advised Canberra Imaging Group on its acquisition by Sonic Healthcare.

Key players: The legal team advising Canberra Imaging Group was led by Gilbert + Tobin corporate advisory partners Tim Gordon and Christopher Flynn, with support from lawyers Sam Jaffray and Emily Fanning. 

Deal significance: Sonic Healthcare is described as being one of the world’s leading providers of medical diagnostics.

Its acquisition of Canberra Imaging Group is set to increase its division in Australia by 10 per cent.

Settlement of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of financial year 2022 and is subject to customary conditions, as per a statement from Gilbert + Tobin.

Congratulations to CIG and Sonic Healthcare,” commented lead partners on the transaction, Mr Gordon and Mr Flynn.
