BSP Financial lists on ASX

Global law firm Ashurst has advised BSP Financial Group on its official listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Key players: The Ashurst team was led by partners Murray Wheater and Richard Flynn, who were assisted by senior associates Dillon Fuzi, Kingsford Wamp, lawyers Will Robertson, Oscar Berry, Ray Cheng, and trainee Leon Warren.

Deal significance: BSP Financial is a PNGX-listed company formerly known as Bank of South Pacific Limited. It is the largest financial services company located in the South Pacific.

“Ashurst advised BSP in connection with all aspects of its ASX listing including securities regulation advice, fundraising advice and corporate governance arrangements,” a statement from Ashurst noted.

“BSP commenced trading on the ASX on Tuesday, 25 May 2021 under the ticker code ‘BFL’ and has a market capitalisation of over A$2 billion on the PNGX. BSP’s ASX-listing will provide a new source of equity capital to accelerate growth of its business, along with a new market and improved liquidity.
