This year’s Partner of the Year Awards was held as a hybrid event, broadcast from The Star in Sydney, on Friday 27 November.

This fifth annual event celebrated the accomplishments, professional development and innovative efforts from senior legal practitioners who are leading the profession through what has been a tumultuous and challenging year.

Over 30 winners were named at the 2020 Partner of the Year Awards, with recipients both Zooming in over the broadcast platform, and speaking from the Sydney-based ballroom, to share a short speech reflecting on their successes.

“As we go through these awards, we’re going to be recognising the best of the best – from the individuals taking the business of law to greater heights, to those leading their teams with innovation and creativity,” said Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan in her opening speech.

“A huge congratulations to all of our finalists... With such tough competition around you, getting to this feat wasn’t easy, and you should all be extremely proud of your efforts.”

Lawyers Weekly would like to congratulate all of the finalists and winners of this year’s event.
