Firm: Ashurst (FinClear Holdings Limited)

Deal: Finclear Holdings Limited (FinClear) has been advised on an investment by Magellan Financial Group.

Value: $20 million

Area: Corporate, finance

Key players: The team advising FinClear was led by Ashurst partner Stuart Dullard, with assistance from counsel Andrew Kim, senior associate Fran Barber and lawyers Dillon Fuzi, Jack Jones, and Selena Tang.

Deal significance: FinClear is a provider of technology, trading infrastructure, and ASX market-access services to wealth, stockbroking, platform and fintech customers.

This transaction sees Magellan invest $20 million in FinClear to support its future growth ambitions. The move also sees the group appoint a director to the FinClear board.

"FinClear and Magellan have also entered into a Relationship Agreement to explore initiatives to improve access and reduce friction from the investment process for investors," a statement from Ashurst explained.
