Amy Barwick (dispute resolution), Cara Richardson (real estate), Fintan O'Connor (recovery and restructuring) and Matthew Geary (real estate), all from Dentons’ Sydney office, have been promoted to partner.

Speaking about the promotions, the firm’s Australian chair and Australasian regional CEO Doug Stipanicev said that these appointments highlighted the level of talent at Dentons.

“I’m extremely pleased to welcome Amy, Cara, Fintan and Matthew to the partnership. All four lawyers have shown an outstanding commitment to the growth of the firm, and to providing the best service to our clients,” he said.

The news follows the firm’s elevation of 17 lawyers to more senior positions last week, including 10 to senior associate, six to managing associate and one to special counsel across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Ten of those lawyers promoted were women.
