Russell Kennedy Lawyers has advised Marsh Dairy Products in relation to its sale to Extra Mile Food.

Deal: Russell Kennedy Lawyers has advised the founders of Marsh Dairy Products Pty Ltd (Marsh Dairy Products) in relation to its sale to entities associated with Extra Mile Food Trading (Extra Mile Food).
Area: M&A, wholesale food and beverages.
Key players: The Russell Kennedy team was led by principal Rory Maguire from the firm’s corporate advisory/M&A team, with assistance from Jaqueline Wilson, associate (corporate advisory/M&A); Abbey Burns, senior associate (employment); and Samantha Taylor, special counsel (property).
Deal significance: The acquisition will allow Extra Mile Food to acquire Marsh Dairy Products offerings including the wholesaling and distribution of its Australian dairy produce throughout Australia and overseas.

Russell Kennedy advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, and MVA Bennett acted as financial advisers to the vendor.
Established in Melbourne during the 1930s, the company supplies both national and independent supermarkets, and food service customers, as well as Australian and multinational industrial users of bulk dairy ingredients including bulk cheese, bulk butter, and all forms of standard milk powders. It operates from an export-grade facility in Melbourne.
Extra Mile Food is an Australian company specialising in sourcing, contract manufacturing and sales and marketing of Australian and international food and beverages.
