Allens appoints 27 to senior positions
Global law firm Allens has appointed 15 new partners and 12 new managing associates.

Effective 1 July 2020, Allens will have 15 new practitioners in the firm’s partnership ranks and 12 new managing associates. The appointments are spread across 12 of the firm’s practice areas.
“They are an outstanding group of people who have been and will continue to be trusted advisers to our clients. We are pleased to be able to continue to provide opportunities for our people, both at partner level and through our emerging leaders at managing associate level,” he said.
“'Our new partners bring a range of different backgrounds and perspectives to the firm, though this year’s gender balance is below where we’d like it to be. Since financial year 2018, just under 50 per cent of our new partners have been female and we remain on track and committed to meet our aspiration, set in 2017, to have at least 35 per cent female partners by 2022.”
The new Allens partners are: Joel Barrett and Ian Lindsay (intellectual property and patent trademark attorneys); James Campbell and Jonathan Light (disputes and investigations); Tim Chislett (real estate and development); Sean Cole (funds, superannuation and wealth); David Couper (banking and finance); Tristan Iredell and Paul Telford (projects); Felicity McMahon (competition, consumer and regulatory); Jessica Mottau and Phil O’Sullivan (technology, media and telecommunications); Noah Obradovic and Kounny Rattley (M&A and capital markets); and Sikeli Ratu (employment and safety).
Ms Rattley joins the firm as a partner from Clayton Utz.
