Sylvia Mansour has joined Russell Kennedy in Sydney as a lawyer in the firm’s property and development team. She has a particular focus on retirement living.

The firm said this appointment demonstrates Russell Kennedy’s commitment to growth in the NSW market and to expand the firm’s capability to service clients across different jurisdictions throughout Australia.

“Sylvia’s retirement living sector experience in the NSW market and property and development capabilities further complement Russell Kennedy’s practice in the sector,” said Rosemary Southgate, national property and retirement living practice group leader.

Previously Ms Mansour was a solicitor at Atkinson Vinden Lawyers. She brings proven experience acting and advising on a range of property matters according to the firm.

Ms Mansour had advised Retirement Village operators in NSW and in the ACT in relation to compliance with Retirement Village legislation including the preparation of resident contracts and other documents and advising on due diligence procedures.

She is also experienced in the registration of Retirement Villages and lodgements with Land Registry Services, handling NCAT disputes on behalf of clients along with acting on behalf of vendors and purchasers in relation to the sale and acquisition of residential properties including preparing and reviewing contracts of sale and advising on various property issues.

“Her appointment demonstrates the firm’s commitment to growing our NSW practice to service our NSW client base. We are very pleased to welcome Sylvia to Russell Kennedy,” Ms Southgate said.
