Deal: Global law firm DLA Piper has advised Australian medicinal cannabis producer Little Green Pharma Limited on its initial public offering and ASX listing.

Value: Undisclosed.

Area: IPO and ASX.

Key players: The cross-practice team was led by Perth corporate partner Marc Wilshaw with solicitors Jonathan Foo, Simon Rimmelzwaan and Danielle Battista. They were assisted by intellectual property and technology special counsel Greg Bodulovic with solicitors Valiant Warzecha and Alexandra De Zwart.

Deal significance: Little Green Pharma was the first Australian medicinal cannabis company to achieve production of locally grown medical-grade cannabis products for patient use in Australia and export markets.

Little Green Pharma listed on the ASX on 20 February with an indicative market capitalisation of approximately $60 million.

Mr Wilshaw said: “Little Green Pharma is a leader in the Australian cannabis industry, and we are pleased to support them on their successful IPO and listing on the ASX – a significant achievement. The company is now in a strong position to accelerate their growth strategy and realise new opportunities in the growing global cannabis market.”
