Meg Lee is a specialist in planning and environment and has more than 20 years’ experience in planning and environmental law, acting for both public and private sector clients across a wide variety of sectors, including residential and retail developments, renewable energy, extractive and waste industries.

Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean said the firm was delighted to welcome Ms Lee: “Meg brings a unique combination of skills to our team. Her mix of planning expertise and public sector knowledge further strengthens our national offering to clients.”

Ms Lee started her career at Clayton Utz and then worked both in Mallesons Stephen Jaques before specialising in environment and planning at Allens.

She advises clients on environmental and planning approvals for major infrastructure projects and property developments and on environmental risks and liabilities in the context of commercial transactions, including associated tribunal, panel and court hearings.

“I am delighted to be joining forces with Rory O’Connor and the property and projects team at Hall & Wilcox and look forward to working collaboratively with them to deliver great outcomes for clients,” Ms Lee said.

The firm said Ms Lee’s appointment will build on the firm’s national property, projects and public sector practices and provide further opportunities in both the government sector and for development work.
