Alinta Energy enters into power purchase agreement with Solar River Project
Allens has advised Alinta Energy on its power purchase agreement with Solar River Project.

Deal significance: When built, the Solar River Project will be a 200-megawatt facility consisting of more than 640,000 solar photovoltaic panels and “one of the largest battery storage systems in the southern hemisphere”.
Commenting on the deal, Mr Mansour said: “It is exciting to work with the Alinta team in support of this project and to continue to advise them on other opportunities in the renewables sector.”
The project is expected to generate more than 350 regional jobs during the construction phrase and should start generating renewable energy in early 2021 to power the equivalent of 90,000 South Australian homes.
