Global to combine with local firm

A global law firm has confirmed it will combine its services with another player, in a move that will see it gain an additional 13 partners.

Dentons has confirmed it is to combine its offering with existing associate firm, Adelaide-based Fisher Jeffries. 

According to a statement from Dentons, the combination will extend the global law firm’s national footprint in Australia and add 13 new partners with expertise across financial services, corporate, dispute resolution, construction and engineering, employment, manufacturing and real estate.

“Dentons is delighted to be formalising its longstanding relationship with 130 year old firm Fisher Jeffries,” said Ian Dardis, Dentons’ Australia CEO.

“Fisher Jeffries has an excellent reputation in South Australia as a specialist commercial firm, built on an intimate understanding of the local business market. And, as Australia’s defence hub, we see the combination with a leading local firm as having benefits for both domestic and global clients.”

Karen Thomas, Fisher Jeffries managing partner, added: “The combination with Dentons will help launch our South Australian firm into the global marketplace and bring even more benefits for clients”.
