Financial planning businesses advised on Megaport capital raise

RBC Capital Markets and Morgans Corporate Limited have been advised on a fully underwritten $50 million institutional placement by Megaport and a secondary $10m sell-down by that company’s chairman.

Firm: Baker McKenzie (joint lead managers and Australian and US legal counsel to RBC Capital Markets and Morgans Corporate Limited). 

Deal: RBC and Morgans were advised on the $60 million capital raise by Megaport. 

Value: $60 million. 

Area: Equity markets. 

Key players: The Bakers team was led by Craig Andrade, Antony Rumboll and Matthew De Cataldo, with assistance from Andrew Reilly and Paul Anderson on US law aspects.

Deal significance: Mr Andrade stated, "We were delighted to act for our clients, RBC Capital Markets and Morgans Corporate Limited, as joint lead managers and underwriters on this strategic capital raise by Megaport, which will provide funds for expansion into new markets and locations as well as for innovation and the development of new technology."
