Former London lawyer takes on new Sydney-based role

An England and Wales qualified lawyer has embarked on a new Sydney-based role, specialising in litigation financing solutions.

Philip Lomax has joined Litigation Capital Management (LCM) as an investment manager in the company’s Sydney office.

 
 

Mr Lomax is cited as an England and Wales qualified lawyer who has worked in litigation and arbitration funding since 2015.

Prior to joining LCM, Mr Lomax worked with Augusta Ventures in London and Sydney, as well as in private practice law firm Elborne Mitchell LLP, also based in London. 

“We are pleased to welcome Philip as the latest addition to the APAC team at LCM,” LCM CEO Patrick Moloney said in welcoming Mr Lomax to the company.

“Not only does Philip bring direct experience in litigation funding, but his international experience will bolster our growing global capability.”

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.

Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences. 

Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
